South Side Ride

Friday 25 March
Meeting and departure from Ye Olde Narrogin Inne, Armadale. Carpark on Albany Highway side.
Leaving Armadale at 9.00am we’ll ride through the forest to Boddington for morning tea. After a pleasant break it will be onto Collie via some interesting twisty back roads. Lunch will be at Top Top Food, Forrest Street Collie. After a good feed and refuelling the bikes, we’re off to Wellington Dam to see the mural and for some happy snaps. It’s then off to Bridgetown again via the back roads. Overnight will be at Nelson’s in Bridgetown (9761 1641). Twin share rooms with private facilities start from $145/night. When booking your room just state you’re part of the Perth Ulysses ride. I’m thinking we’ll have dinner at Bridgetown Hotel which is a short walk from Nelson’s. We’ll also be refuelling in Bridgetown.
Saturday 26 March
After breakfast at a local cafe we’ll be off to Pemberton for morning tea. This is after we ride through Balingup, Nannup and Manjimup on some of those roads you dream about! Morning tea in Pemberton will be at Source Kitchen and there will be the opportunity to refuel if you need. From Pemberton it’s onto Augusta and lunch at The Colour Patch. You can also refuel in Augusta if you need. After an appetising lunch it’s off to see the Leeuwin Light House (more happy snaps) and then it’s follow your nose to Dunsborough (along Caves Road).
From Dunsborough it’s a short ride to Busselton for our overnight stay at the Ithaca Manor Motel. Rooms start from $86. Contact Johnno (0408 870 300) and again just say that your part of the Perth Ulysses ride.
Dinner in Busselton will be at Coco’s Thai.
Sunday 27 March
Sunday morning will be a relaxed start as we’re only riding as far as Waroona. Morning tea will be at Waroona Country Cafe. After much coffee and chatter we’ll all make our own way home. You should be at home for a late lunch.
