Wild Bull Brewery Ride – What’s your Beef Wellington

8 November 2020 @ 9:00 am

DIFFERENT START POINT

Because this is a longish ride we’ll get a head start by meeting at a different start point. This will mean that we don’t have to rush over coffee in an uncivilised manner. We can linger over coffee in an uncivilised manner.

The start point is:

Liquor Baron store at the corner of Thomas Rd and Nicholson Rd Oakford.

Coffee will be at Waroona and lunch will be at the Wild Bull Brewery in the Ferguson Valley, which we’ll reach via Mornington Rd and Wellington Dam Rd from Wokalup.

The Wild Bull Brewery has a web site if you want to look them up. Burgers, pizza etc are available.

After lunch we’ll ride the ridge on Henty Rd to SW Hwy on the way to Brunswick Junction for fuel. If you look to the west from the top of Henty Road, you might be able to catch a glimpse of Africa in the distance.

We’ll stop corner marking at the Brunswick Junction fuel stop where riders will have a choice of two routes back to Perth.

  • South West Hwy – 176 kms

  • Forrest Hwy – 168 kms

The Forrest Fwy would probably be the faster route. I can give easy directions on the day for either route.

It’s about 200 kms from Oakford to Brunswick Junction, and 370 kms for the whole trip. If your bike doesn’t have the range to make Brunswick Junction then you can fill up in Waroona at coffee time.
