Canola Caper and Chow in Cunderdin

It’s that time of year to check out the Wheatbelt.
PLEASE NOTE ALTERED DEPARTURE POINT: As this is a longish ride, the plan is to meet at 9:00 a.m. at Caltex Midvale, 375 Great Eastern Hwy, Midvale 6056 (just past Savage Motorcycles) – see https://goo.gl/maps/UQjYdeFDpEB2XUpRA
The briefing will be at 8:50 for a “tanks full, bladders empty” departure at 9:00.
We wander through the hills’ secondary roads for a first stop at Bakers Hill for morning coffee.
From there, we head through Spencers Brook and Goldfields Road, for lunch at the Ettamogah Pub in Cunderdin. (Service can be slow but food is acceptable!). Refuel opportunity.
After lunch we will enjoy the best roads of the ride, heading north of Meckering on long sweepers to visit the “The Big Horsie”, then a long way back into Toodyay for the afternoon break. Refuel opportunity.
At this point some will head off at their own pace and direction. But ride lovers can join a back lanes exit, hitting Toodyay Rd near Noble Falls, ending ride protocols.
If you are not introduced to at least one new road, a bottle of fine wine is on offer!
