Protective Film Query

Post by GlennR » Thu Dec 14, 2017 10:49 am

I have a tank bag on my Africa Twin and just noticed its scuffing the paint on the fuel tank.

I know there are protective film products out there that adhere to the tank to prevent further scuffing. Can anyone recommend a product that provides a good balance of adequate protection and flexibility to accommodate curves on the tank. Equally important, I need a contact details for someone who can fit the stuff so I get a quality finish.

Thanks.
Glenn.

After a lot of searching, I found a guy who was willing to supply and fit a clear vinyl protective film on the fuel tank of my Africa Twin.

He did a good job and was well priced.

I can pass on details to anyone interested in wrapping parts of their bike.

Common pushback from others advertising bike wrapping on their website included 'don't do fuel tanks - too may corners and bends', 'only do cars now. Bikes too hard'.
