FUTURE ACTIVITIES:

25-28 September 2009 Odyssey in Kalgoorlie – Via Sandstone - Kalgoorlie – returning via southern route? A huge group from Geraldton and neighbours expected to make the Odyssey. Leaving town on Thursday 24 September 9am from Shell Wonthella.

Possibly a one week trip. Ross will be taking his truck so you can put you gear on board if needed. Details to follow. Should be ok for camping at Trotting track and there is a camp school opposite for accommodation. Information on Kalgoorlie Web site http://www.kalwaulysses.com Pay by money order or cheque only.

Accommodation at Sandstone is for camping only unless you wish to book at the Pub.

Proposed Itinerary for Kalgoorlie Odyssey from Garry Cripps are included at the end of the meeting notes.

Cyril suggested that everyone take their blue and white striped shirt to use in Kalgoorlie(the ones we used for the AGM) If anyone needs some blue and white striped material to make the shirts Kate McConkey has about 6m.

Skit for the Odyssey. Full dress rehearsal for the SKIT will be on the20th September at the Geraldton Club there will be a BBQ bring your own everything including drinks. Terry Brennan has written a song about bike riding and we are now looking for female victims to do a skit with this too....

Show and Shine 28^th September at Maitland Park for anyone still in town.
The Veteran and Classic car club have asked if we would be interested in showing our bikes at the next Heritage day.
22 November is the Antique Fair and Swap meet. Anyone that has something to sell contact Peter Moore for details. $10 per stall
Christmas Pageant 5th December in Albany for anyone that can go to help promote the Ulysses AGM in Albany .
Albany AGM 8^th to 14^th March 2010 - volunteers will be needed to assist in rides, registration, cleanups etc.
GENERAL BUSINESS:

Discussion took place on where the September monthly coffee meetings would take place. It was decided that it would move back to the airport until further notice.

Rose Holdaway has invited us to joint in the Midwest Expressions ACE Art Project it involves us getting together a doing a painting with her help as we did last year. The official opening on the exhibition will be at the QPT on the 13^th November and continues to the 20^th.

Also discussed was the idea of starting up a once a month ladies ride possibly on a Saturday anyone that is interest can contact Dale.

Depart Geraldton – 100k’s arrive Mullewa 10:10am. (30min break for coffee fuel, etc.)

Depart Mullewa 10:30 – 120k’s arrive Yalgoo 11:45am. (60 min break for picnic lunch at rail station or grab a pie at local store.

Fuel by Credit Card Only

Depart Yalgoo 12:45pm – 124k’s arrive Mt Magnet 2pm. (30min break for fuel, etc).

Depart Mt Magnet 2:30pm – 158k’s arrive Sandstone 4pm. 500k’s Total.

Fuel up before setting up camp.
