Ulysses Annual Memorial Ride
8 September 2019 @ 9:00 am - 2:30 pm
- Ulysses Branches around the country, indeed round the world, dedicate the 2nd Sunday in September each year as a day of remembrance for those members who have “Ridden On”. In most cases this is done in practice by all the Ulysses branches in a given area jointly or independently riding to a place where a short ceremony is conducted to honour those members. The tradition in the greater Perth area is for branches from as far north as Geraldton and as far south as Bunbury and as far east as Kalgoorlie to ride to the park at Lake Leschenaultia, Rosedale Road, Chidlow. There, someone conducts a short memorial service by the banks of the lake, at a monument dedicated by those branches as a permanent marker for this purpose.
