Jetty’s Bar & Grill

1 May 2022 @ 9:00 am

Jetty’s Bar and Grill doesn’t claim to have the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere, but it does claim to be open. Wayne and I ditched two other ride plans because the planned lunch stops were closed.

While we’re talking about the Jetty’s Bar and Grill, what’s with the name? Is it owned by Mr Jetty, or is this another case of a redundant apostrophe? Anyhow, let’s move on with our lives.

This ride starts out with the familiar, but very enjoyable run out through the hills to Jarrahdale for coffee. Then it’s on past the Serpentine Dam towards Pinjarra, which we avoid by turning left at the very last moment.  A back-road or three sees us looping through Coolup, west for a bit, and then back to Pinjarra from the south.  From Pinjarra we head northwest to South Yunderup where the afore-mentioned bar and grill lies in wait.

The ride ends with the lunch stop. You can return home via the South West Hwy, Kwinana Freeway or Mandurah / Old Coast Rd depending on your final destination.

Distance: 191 kms to Jetty’s Bar and Grill
83 kms back to East Perth via the freeway
274 kms in total if you actually rode back to East Perth
